Scott Behr via 3rings Blog

by Brooklyn Modern | April 16th, 2009

3rings does an impressive job of featuring the participants of  Blkyn Designs 2009. In their latest video, we meet Scott Behr of Total Metal Resource, Inc. He lives and works in the industrial section of Brooklyn “where metal structures and the ruins of factories populate the landscape.”  Behr’s Electrified Blue Table is revealed in this interview and it has an input on the leg of the table and multiple outlets along the table’s edge. His  goal is to “provide a solution for the plethora of plugs necessary to power our modern day technologies: laptops, hard drives, or guitar amps” and he wants  “to make furniture a part of our environments that interface with technology and the devices that we interact with on a daily basis.” The electrified table is a steel frame, lacquered with a light blue graffiti-like spray paint.
