Studio Moe: Brooklyn by Way of Queens

by Brooklyn Modern | April 11th, 2009

Five minutes away from the furniture making action in Brooklyn, is Queens. And there’s some good stuff over there: P.S. 1, the Noguchi Museum, and Studio Moe, the shop of furniture maker Eric Moe, who works out of Long Island City. I came across him on the always interesting Inhabitat. While the article dates back to 2006, he’s still based in L.I.C. His work is indeed interesting and his bio reveals a renaissance-like versatility: Princeton grad, furniture designer, traveling tango dancer. He works quite a bit with reclaimed wood.  Check out the full piece on him at Inhabitat or visit his site: Studio Moe. Below are some images of his work and space.
